Gotta say, I am somewhat amazed no one is using this site yet. It is easy, fun, has lots of tools for free, and can become interactive. What's the problem?
A while back I posted a reference to Bob Barr. The truth is, I don't know what to do this election. I am not enamored with either Obama or McCain, and was looking at an alternative. My wish is to have an alternative that is seriously taken and someone more Independent, in my opinion would be the most attractive candidate, rather than the two party affiliation. If is were more about the country, and it's best interests, than partisan politics, perhaps this two party system wouldn't be so bad. It's pretty sure though, I won't be voting main stream this year. Why? Because I don't appreciate being bullied into voting for a candidate I do not want to be the president.
Many say if I don't vote for either, I am casting a vote for their opponant. Really? I see election as a choice, and not to be forced by a political agenda. So, I know what I won't do, just don't know what I will do when I get in the booth. That's really a demonstration that I am not sure about any of the candidates who are running this year. Anyone out there want to comment?
And, for all of you who are happy to have a leader to vote for that you really believe in, I am happy for you. Good for you.

“To Boddah...
Speaking from the tongue of an experienced simpleton who obviously would rather be an emasculated, infantile complain-ee. This note should be pretty easy to understand.
All the warnings from the punk rock 101 courses over the years, since my first introduction to the, shall we say, ethics involved with independence and the embracement of your community has proven to be very true. I haven't felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music along with reading and writing for too many years now. I feel guity beyond words about these things.
For example when we're back stage and the lights go out and the manic roar of the crowds begins., it doesn't affect me the way in which it did for Freddie Mercury, who seemed to love, relish in the the love and adoration from the crowd which is something I totally admire and envy. The fact is, I can't fool you, any one of you. It simply isn't fair to you or me. The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I'm having 100% fun. Sometimes I feel as if I should have a punch-in time clock before I walk out on stage. I've tried everything within my power to appreciate it (and I do,God, believe me I do, but it's not enough). I appreciate the fact that I and we have affected and entertained a lot of people. It must be one of those narcissists who only appreciate things when they're gone. I'm too sensitive. I need to be slightly numb in order to regain the enthusiasms I once had as a child.
On our last 3 tours, I've had a much better appreciation for all the people I've known personally, and as fans of our music, but I still can't get over the frustration, the guilt and empathy I have for everyone. There's good in all of us and I think I simply love people too much, so much that it makes me feel too f'ing sad. The sad little, sensitive, unappreciative, Pisces, Jesus man. Why don't you just enjoy it? I don't know!
I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy and a daughter who reminds me too much of what i used to be, full of love and joy, kissing every person she meets because everyone is good and will do her no harm. And that terrifies me to the point to where I can barely function. I can't stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable, self-destructive, death rocker that I've become.
I have it good, very good, and I'm grateful, but since the age of seven, I've become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along that have empathy. Only because I love and feel sorry for people too much I guess.
Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I'm too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don't have the passion anymore, and so remember, it's better to burn out than to fade away.
Peace, love, empathy. Kurt Cobain
Frances and Courtney, I'll be at your alter. Please keep going Courtney, for Frances. For her life, which will be so much happier without me.
So, today's Friday...I haven't written anything in a while so thought to give it a go.
On the political front, they're still out there doing their things. Wish it was more on topic, ie, the energy SOLUTION. I really don't care what they did in the past as much as what are they going to do now? In the near future? O well... and how about these people wanting nucleur energy now? I am not entirely on board with that... funny how time washes away mass-memory on certain subjects, isn't it? Times certainly have changed. The thing is, it takes a whole act of congress to get anything done about anything in Washington. I long for day when decisions didn't lay on the floor. But, I'm one to talk. However, I still believe in this country and whoever "wins" (why would they want it) can help the country come out strong and on top. That's if they can quit the pandering about the so-called energy plan.
Well, I have recently decided to go back to selling insurance products.I'll be selling B2B and not have to do those late evening appointments anymore. This is a whole new company and a whole new product line for me. I'll eventually be licensed to sell stocks and other kinds of monetary planning products for investors, which is something I have wanted to do. And, I simply love to take classes. :)
I noticed there's not many taking advantage of Public Post yet. I really am stumped becasue I love the format. There's nothing of it's kind out there, but I guess most want to stay put with Aidpage.com where there's an established readership. I don't mind though, because when I post it's usually specific or just amusing to myself.
Can't find "Lucky". I go out there almost every evening looking for him, but it's no go. He was so scared he probably hangs around a different area now. Poor little kitty. But, I'm sure he's eating. As mentioned, there's a family around here that feeds a ton of stray cats.
that's all I can muster in these dog days of summer...
Tony Snow died yesterday at age fifty three. He was gifted journalist and commentator. Among those he knew was Ian Anderson, of Jethro Tull fame. For this reason, there’s a video below of the two playing together on stage, as well as other video to remember him by.
Mr. Snow was respected and loved, as well as admired for his courageous fight against cancer, which took his mother when he was only seventeen years old. It was not a shock to hear of his death, because his illness was widely known.
On or around the fourteenth of June my husband and I decided to barbecue. With that, he had to open the storeroom outside to get a few things to use. Later he put everything away, and noticed nothing amiss. He closed the storeroom door and locked it up. The following weekend we decided to celebrate our anniversary a few days early by going out to eat and to a movie. But, he got sick that weekend, and by Tuesday (our anniversary) was at the doctors office. Wednesday he was in the hospital and stayed for nine days. He finally got out by the afternoon of July 3rd. That was a week and a day ago.
One day before going to the hospital to visit my husband, I sat outside to meditate for a while and thought heard a cat mew. Then, I thought I saw a flash of white in the little space between the storeroom doors. I went over, listened, peeked inside, and nothing was there. I thought I was imagining things. (We have a large stray cat population and they are always popping up in odd places outside.) I shrugged it off, thinking I was just worrying for nothing. Then I completely forgot the incident.
Well today, about 9:30 this morning I was on the way to the grocery store. On the porch I stopped because I heard a cat crying again. This time I got a strange feeling, so I went in, got the storeroom key and opened it up. I peered in again, but saw nothing. I went inside, opened a can of grilled chicken fancy feast, got a fresh bowl of water and went back to the shed. I placed the food and water inside and suddenly a little head appeared in the back of the room. I stepped back, and waited, but when I peeked in, the poor calico ran behind some stuff again. It took awhile but he came out, as I kept moving the bowl, and he kept running away. Also, I placed the water a longer distance from him, and gave him a peek. Finally the poor thirsty cat came out of the building to drink the water. I slammed the door shut. The cat drank every drop of water in the bowl, and gobbled every morsel of food.
From approximately June 14th to July 11th that cat had been in the storage building. That's about 25 or 26 days! How's that for one of it's nine lives. That's one lucky cat! I felt so bad for the kitty. I think I'll adopt it, but I'll have to sneak the food and water and stand guard because there's a whole population out there. Plus, we have an inside cat that is my husbands pride and joy. She's a spoiled Himalayan named Mia. While the calico was starving in the storeroom, I was taking my cat in to get groomed and shots. How's that for social injustice.
The Japanese say the calico is the luckiest of all. I believe it. I think I'll call this kitty Lucky...
m_99 :)
ps_ there's a family in the neighborhood that regularly feeds the stray cats, so I know the others won't starve while I'm standing guard for Lucky.
Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow Skies are blue And the dreams that you dare to dream Really do come true
Some day I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds fly Birds fly over the rainbow Why then, oh why can't I? Some day I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds fly Birds fly over the rainbow Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly Beyond the rainbow Why, oh why can't I?

**this is the response to your comments about Mark Andreessen's Article, posted in Emil:
Dear Soup,
Recently I spoke to my sister who said "as Republicans we don't have a choice this election", implying we must vote for the presumptive republican candidate (partisanship view point, that is us against them). I stated my choice is to be the Libertarian vote this year, Bob Barr, but NO ONE in the media is talking about him. I do have a choice, and I will most likely be voting libertarian this election. If disgruntled Dems, Reps, Inds voted for Bob Barr, he would win, then this country would see a real change, and not the two party monopoly that has plagued it for years.
What is a libertarian? One who believes in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - ie, the constitution. Also, it's about respecting others views by the attitude of live and let live. It is a balanced view. AND, Bob Barr believes we must pull out of Iraq, with a a logical plan, starting as sooner rather than later. A libertarian view is a combination of the democratic and republican ideals, with it's own take on the American way. But, to be fair, everyone needs to make up their own mind...and at least show respect for the other candidates.
Come on Soup from Texas, write something other than a slur, won't you? But, did you mean to say "mine" such as, "He does not have mine!", meaning "my vote", as Mark Andreessen wrote which Emil posted. If so, it was an expression, not a slur.
It seems logical to assume you meant to say, 'He does not have 'mine' (not mind)...I think that's what you meant.
Welcome to Public Post,
moondance_99
***excuse me, there are some media organizations speaking of and interviewing Bob Barr. I said in the above comment that "no one in the media is talking about him" - which I knew was incorrect when I said it. We, humans, tend to exaggerate at times, as I did above. I think a more correct statement would be, NO ONE in the media believes Bob Barr has a shot at winning. Do I disagree!

Much loved Parisian designer Yves Saint Laurentpassed away on June 1, 2008at age 71, 11pm Paris time. The photo below is how I remember him in his high time. Life is way too short. So to you, YSL, we bless you beautiful soul and bid you adieu!
“You belonged to this magnificent and tragic family of highly-strung people who are the salt of the earth. All that is best comes to us from the highly strung.” - Pierre Berge, Saint Laurent's long-time personal and business partner
In the effort to learn about website design and business strategy for web marketing, I ran across the page above (click the link to visit). I thought it would be beneficial for this audience because it offers such a wide range of great information, such things as how to write effective copy, serif size and readability, stickiness, graphic protocol to speak to the widest audience, and so forth. And, did you know that some browsers won't open if the font is inappropiate or too small? I didn't.
Loving art, I tend to get over dramatic with images. I really am not concerned about graphic usability on this blog. Perhaps I should be concerned when using it on blogspot, and certainly on my future business website. And, not only do I want readers to gain something, I want them to first find the site, and enable it to open correctly when they do, even if it's from their Blackberry.
Anyway, this particular site (A-K Strategic Business) is outstanding and constantly keeping up to date with its technology alerts. Very necessary reading...
This is a new system created by the same group of internet professionals that have Aidpage, Grant Gate, Federal Money Retriever, as well as the software company, Idilogic. (and other ventures, I am not aware of, I'm sure). You can reach the Idilogic site from my links here at public post, either in my Profile page or my blog page. Emil and the Wizard, as well as others on their team, are a very interesting group of European-Americans, who live in the Boston, Las Vegas, and Sofia, Bulgaria corners of the globe. Check out their grants tools, which are free for individuals.
If nothing else, I have learned tremendously from them, and they are (needless to say) very philanthropic. Yes, I am glad to see you back up and running. You are gifted and I have learned from your (old) blog as well. My thing is about locating, understanding the tools and systems to give to others with the aim to assist. Many people online are very educated and experienced in this technology. Many are not. I try to communicate with the "interested in learning" group, to enhance their experience. Also, it is fun to constantly search for innovations that make a difference to others.
Well, blessings to you. Glad you have your blog started again.
My buddy CheddarFix (from MyBlogLog) recently lost his site due to a server problem. He doesn't own a computer, but he manages to find and post interesting free and useful things from the computers in the local library. Since he lost his stuff he has been struggling with whether or not to continue his blog. He did it, and is starting over. Following is his URL and if you are interested in learning about interesting and free things, keep a look out on his site. It won't take him long to populate again. Now if I can get him to write on this site...
Sorry to report - Looks like CheddarFix decided to not continue his follow up blog after the first one was lost...sorry to hear that. But, on the bright side, before he left mybloglog (too) he posted he had a great new dream job he had landed. Congrates to CheddarFix and sorry you're no longer doing the other blog.... m_99
I took a look at the site and it certainly looked lucrative. However, it appears to be a "job" site that requires the "workers" to pay to "get a job". Is this true? If it were a real job site, would it then require people to pay for work or a job?
It's been a while since I have posted. Changes have happened and I decided to fore go the so-called free mall. Instead, I have been thinking about a real business, with real profitability. The idea is a fairly common one but with an uncommon twist. Thinking of creating this business has led me down the pathway of locating resources to launch, grow, and manage the venture.
I read as much about entrepreneurship and funding as I can, and frequent Entrepreneur.com often, as well as StartupNation.com, business magazines, and venture capital blogs. I found the following article in one such blog. This is an article about financing as well as The Funding Universe, a new (two years) resources site for business.
This article was from the Wall Street Journal. Of course you can simply go to the Journal to read the article, and I could have provided the link, but wanted you, the reader, to have something at your fingertips. Hope it helps in your business or business plans for the future.
Enjoy, m_99
Web Sites Help Bring Together Entrepreneurs and Investors
By Daniel Hausmann of Venturewire
Nate Alder believed clothing insulation could be warmer and more efficient, so he and a few partners set out earlier this year to reinvent winter-jacket lining. Unfortunately, prospective angel and venture-capital investors didn't warm up to the idea on first look in the spring. The second time around in the fall Mr. Alder and his team walked away with $375,000 in angel investor backing. The difference, according to Mr. Alder: his start-up, Argon Technologies Inc. (www.argongear.com), went through Funding Universe, a Web site (www.fundinguniverse.com) designed to connect entrepreneurs with investors. The site can help companies tweak business plans and hosts in-person "speed pitching" -- a take on speed dating where investors are paired with entrepreneurs.
"Angels said at the speed-pitching that our pitch was so much better than before," Mr. Alder said, adding he walked away from the October event with 10 to 12 offers. "Face-to-face made the difference; it raises your chances significantly."
As the venture world has recovered from the tech bubble bust at the turn of the century, a number of sites have popped up offering advice and the ability to connect entrepreneurs with investors. These businesses take things beyond sites that simply offer message boards or rating services like the much publicized The Funded, which lets anonymous people rate VCs.
Funding Universe and others like it boast services that range from e-mailed distribution of pitches to networking conferences that mirror speed dating events. The programs, while not targeted at experienced venture capitalists, are specifically useful for business owners and angel investors lacking a robust Rolodex.
"The angel world is very inefficient," said Brock Blake, chief executive of Funding Universe. "Angels don't walk around with a sign on their back that says 'Angel Investor.' "
Mr. Blake launched Funding Universe, his first start-up, two years ago after graduating from Brigham Young University. On his own, he raised a few hundred thousand dollars in angel backing in the months after the site debuted to help it grow.
On Funding Universe, entrepreneurs can post their business plans for free. The company then helps businesses fix pitches and rates business plans, posts video pitches, and introduces companies to investors with comparable portfolios. The services after the free posting come with a charge; a subscription can range from $20 to $50 per month depending on services. In its network, the company has 718 investors and over 21,000 entrepreneurs, according to Mr. Blake.
One of the strong components of the site, according to investors and start-ups, is the face time provided by the speed-pitching events. Mr. Blake lines up 30 to 50 investors in a room, and about 10 start-ups go table-to-table delivering seven-minute pitches. The company has six Utah-based events lined up for 2008 and is looking to book more across the country.
Other sites offer varying levels of help similar to Funding Universe. Plan Heaven allows companies to post pitch videos that are then distributed to a network of investors. The service is free but the site does not track the results of its users. Another site, Go4Funding, lets entrepreneurs and investors post their needs and contact information, ala Craig List. The site charges consultants, lawyers, accountants and others $100-per-month to advertise on the site.
Another site, Go BIG Media LLC's GoBIGNetwork.com, essentially works as an online classified service for the start-up community. Users can post ads to invest, get invested and find employees, and also find advice through blogs and forums. Ad posters pay $59 per month, per ad; people looking to contact posters pay $39 per month, and vendors, such as loan providers, pay Go BIG $10 per lead to find companies in need.
Of the 100,000 start-ups in the system, 10,000 are actively fund-raising, Go BIG Founder Wil Schroter said. Of that number, 82% will get contacted, and some will get as many as three responses. However, Mr. Schroter said his company doesn't proactively track how many of those responses results in a check being cut. Often those responses are from intermediaries of investors, such as capital brokers, Mr. Schroter said.
Rich Sloan and his brother Jeff, both veteran entrepreneurs, offer tips through podcasts, a nationally syndicated radio show and their blogs on StartupNation.com. The site also has subscription services for business plan tracking, patent and corporate paperwork. Mr. Sloan said he has about 130,000 users.
While many of these Web sites have popped up post-bubble, the services hark back to the late 1990s when business plans were plentiful. At the time, Joe Rubin, director of FundingPost.com, was an entrepreneur and Web site designer who calls himself not "one of the lucky people to cash out in the dot-com boom." Mr. Rubin saw a need for this in the marketplace back then for a site to assist entrepreneurs. Unfortunately for Mr. Rubin, he launched his site in 2000 just as things were going haywire for dot-coms. He stuck it out, seeing a lot of investors with money on the sidelines.
"We wanted to make something that was easy and low pressure for them," Mr. Rubin said.
Funding Post offers similar services as Funding Universe, including pitching events and introductions to investors. His company charges $75 for admittance to the events and $100 for site subscriptions; some packages can run up to $2,000 depending on services needed. About 100 business summaries have been submitted to Funding Post in the past 30 days, though he declined to discuss the company's income.
Gideon Naim, chief financial officer with RFID-tracker company CenTrak Inc., went through several Web sites, including Funding Post, when his company was founded in 2003. He attended one of Funding Post’s pitch events near the company's home base in Newtown, Pa. "We were successful in closing angel rounds not many months after," Mr. Naim said. His company has raised under $2 million to date without going to venture capitalists. The company plans to go that route in the third quarter of 2008.
Venture capitalists say, however, if entrepreneurs want to get in the door with their firms, they'd better bring a trusted friend. John Taylor, the vice president of research for the National Venture Capital Association, said he hasn't encountered a success story in the venture capital industry from this method. David Aronoff, general partner with IDG Ventures Boston, said over 95% of his firm's deals come from insiders. Of the 4,500 to 5,000 deal pitches his firm sees annually, they'll write checks for 8 to 10.
"Venture capitalists are not generally going to be cruising Web sites looking for the next thing," Mr. Taylor said.
Okapi Venture Capital Managing Director Marc Averitt said most of his deals come from trusted sources such as lawyers, accountants, and colleagues in the industry. Occasionally he'll do a deal off the street but said he is less inclined to do deals that come through brokers who charge entrepreneurs a fee.
"There are better deals that don't have that baggage," Mr. Averitt said.
But for individual and angel investors, the screening process some of these sites offer is time saved. Brigham Tomco of angel investor Meyer Ventures, a family office based in New York, served as a consultant for Funding Universe for a time. He's also attended their speed-pitching events and has not invested in a lead from there yet. He said the companies did not fit for one reason or another. Despite that he said he'd continue to look at leads because of their quality and because of Mr. Blake's screening process.
"The quality of their presentations is as good or better than what we usually see," Mr. Tomco said.
After the Tim Russert Funeral and then Memorial Services were over, the mourners began filing outside. There to greet them was a beautiful, phenomenal double rainbow looming gloriously over the capital. It was as if the Lord was smiling on and reassuring the mourners that Tim approved the celebration of his life. Even stranger was the fact that they had just heard "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" before leaving the church. I have waited until everything was done before I recorded a remembrance of Tim on this page. I believe this speaks for itself. Not only was he loved by man, but obviously found favor and blessing from above as well. What a send off. What a wonderful world. So, God Bless you Mr. Russert and Godspeed always...
Today I spent time closing the mall and opening new pages on a different shopping site. It is easier to use and there's no worries associated with the site. You don't have to worry about not buying something within the month because it has no quotas. You don't have to bug anyone because it's an upfront rebate earning site. You don't have to read innumerable email from the corporate office. And you get credit (actual rebates) for your own purchases. Nothing to lose!
I feel better about telling others to shop here, rather than a counter productive place that was not working. This is a relief and a blessing. If you are interested in checking this out, please do. Do you shop online? I do! Go to the site and find out more ( and no - I am not talking about MPM). This is different and easier to use.
Check it out and tell me what you think! Happy Shopping...
Recently Charlie Rose had the guest, A. G. Lafley, CEO of Procter & Gamble (P&G). Following the show were several posts which called into question the lack of bio-degradable products, tax incentive for locating their new plant in Utah, and Mr. Rose dropping the ball by allowing these points to slide. While these are valid topics for discussion, the objective of the interview revolved around “marketing” and how “innovation” is used by P&G successfully. Charlie Rose clarified the purpose quickly with ‘So it is primarily about innovation’ and asked “What is Innovation?” If we can think along this premise as we watch, we may hear more about marketing innovation and gain valuable insight.
According to Wikipedia: “Innovation is typically understood as the successful introduction of something new and useful, for example introducing new methods, techniques, or practices or new or altered products and services.” Webster dictionary calls innovation “a new idea, method, or device.” A synonym may be novelty. Today the actual word ‘innovation’ is used to sell expensive cars, market high speed Internet, prompt consumers to use gadgets that are tricky to install, and so on. It signifies current development, but never goes out of style. P&G regards innovation as something else.
As business owners seeking deserved attention from would be buyers, we must find innovative ways to rise above the rest. To loosely quote Mr. Lafley, ‘Like it or not, this world is a smaller, flatter place, is less predictable, with bigger changes. Innovation has to play a role. We must become more agile, flexible, and more educated.’ Furthermore he adds, ‘In the end - you don’t have an innovation until she {or he} is willing to part with her {or his} hard earned cash for that new product or service.’ Please listen (click the top link in the post) with the purpose of clarifying innovation for yourself, and how it fits into marketing your own business.

"I believe that there is a place in the spectrum of television for really good conversation, if it is informed, spirited, and soulful."
From the research I have done, I am beginning to understand why, when organizations place a request for a grant, it is a collaborative effort. That is, many of the staff get involved in the steps of finding, qualifying, collecting, verifying, and writing the draft, as well as checking, and changing as needed, before anything is turned into for final approval and before it is finally drafted and signed off on, then submitted by the deadline imposed by the grants committee. No easy task...
There are many steps, the first being - identifying the appropriate grant for your stated purpose. I read an article yesterday on a public broadcast site regarding a grant they are going to be giving. The stipulations were immense, and it became clear that matching the purpose with the requirements is a job in itself.
The first step in locating a grant is you must define your purpose. This is done by clarifying the purpose of your project by writing a concise mission statement. Once accomplished, seek funding that is a match for your project, including who will benefit, and how the grant money will be applied to meet the stated purpose. That's just in the preliminary phase, and the work hasn't even begun in processing the application.
So, I am wondering, as I am only one person, do I have the ability to identify, locate, define, collect, and process such a request, alone? I don't know.
I have been given a couple tools called the Federal Money Retriever and another called the Grant Gate. These are two databases which contain a huge number of institutions, both private,non-profits,and governmental sources which are in the business of giving grants to causes. Some contain grants only to organizations, some will give monies to individuals. What is important, as I see it, is the tools are instrumental in the search. They've taken a lot of information and made it possible for someone to locate the right grants, and research these as well.
There's a lot of hubbub on the internet about "getting a grant", such as, the Lesco fiasco. Basically, Matthew Lesco is a consultant who has put together a lot of information to sell to people who do not know anything about grants. People think when buying his products that they will be able to get a grant, simply by buying his products. This is incorrect. People are so desperate for funding, and hear all the fantastic stories, that they will take the risk by spending money (often money they can't really spare) to become in the know. The problem with this is, once you get the book, you quickly see, it is a bunch of information that doesn't tell you much more than you knew already. And half the phone numbers are outdated or bogus. Years ago I purchased Matthew Lesco's book on grants. I found it to be silly and not very helpful in understanding what one has to do to find a grant, let alone write an application for a grant. Most of what he wrote in there was horse sense, and I think that's what he used to fool people (me included) into purchasing his materials. The truth is, finding a grant is very hard work, and the process in getting a grant is harder still.
That's the beauty in the tools I mentioned. There's no other products anywhere, that takes the stress out of the search as these do. The databases are loaded with GOOD information and direction, and if one is very vigilant, finding the correct grant is made a lot easier. Then your work really begins! So I say, don't be fooled into buying useless junk when you can obtain (for free!) the Federal Money Retriever and the Grant Gate at Aidpage.
Now all I have top do is get my courage up to achieve what I have been dreaming of doing.

What does the termVenture Capital mean, and is it the right thing for your up and coming business? This is from the article in Entrepreneur.
What Is Venture Capital?
What It Is: Institutional venture capital comes from professionally managed funds that have $25 million to $1 billion to invest in emerging growth companies.
Appropriate for: High-growth companies thatare capable of reaching at least $25 million in sales in five years.
Best Use: Varied. From financing product development to expansion of a proven and profitable product or service.
Cost and Funds Typically Available: Expensive. Institutional venture capitalists demand significant equity in a business. The earlier the investment stage, the more equity is required to convince an institutional venture capitalist to invest. The range of funds typically available is $500,000 to $10 million.
Ease of Acquisition: Difficult. Institutional venture capitalists are choosy. Compounding the degree of difficulty is the fact that institutional venture capital is an appropriate source of funding for a limited number of companies.
Amy Rees AndersonofMedi Connect Global advises,“Think twice before you consider venture capital. Consider bootstrapping, angel funds or private individuals first, because venture capitalists will take 30 percent to 35 percent of your company. 'Once you raise capital, whether or not you still own a majority of the company, you work for them.' And don't ignore liquidation preferences. A venture capitalist who stipulates two times liquidation preference would be entitled to receive two times his or her investment before remaining funds are disbursed.”
Sounds like sound advise! So this begs to question, what is an Angel fund, or how does one find a private individual interested in granting business venture funds? Of course there are the grant programs, but as mentioned in a previous post, it is with precision the requests are submitted, and there are no guarantees whether or not you will get the grant you’verequested.
If you are interested in reading this article in Entrepreneur regarding Ventures capital, go to the link at the top of this post.I’ll continue this further as I gain more about angel funding.
So, I went back to the magazine, and viola’ there’s Angel finding information. Whoever said there’s not reliable information on the Internet? Click the link above to read about Angel Fund Networks.
Question is...am I brave enough to ask for money? Cheesy question? Are you brave enough?

If you want to write in this place, get to know how all the properties work. There's the design element such as the way to include background graphics, header pictures, background colors, and each module can be decorated to your suiting. Then there's the formatting of text, as well as spell check. I think the spell check feature is included with Firefox, but I am not certain about this.
Simple as spell check sounds, spell check is an interesting feature. For instance, if I spot a misspelled word on my own, I wonder why spell check hasn't picked it up? I activate it by right clicking to spell check. Sometimes it still doesn't work, so I right click once more, and viola' there it is! Unless you actually fiddle with these things, you may not know (or care) about what I am saying.
The other thing, learning when and where to add comments. I made the mistake of posting in comments on a group, and had to remove these and make a new post. I like that better, it looks more like I think it should. Another point, when you want to change something in the text, go to it and activate the formatting by changing and then correcting a word. Otherwise, it is not activated so you can make a change. If you don't understand, next time you post, try to update it. It won't allow you to until you activate the field.
Part of why it looks as though I have spent endless hours on your pages is because rather than making a tally for a visit, the browser multiplies the visit (refreshes) every time. So if I have visited your page three times, multiplied it will say twelve times, or whatever. That's an issue with Mozilla Firefox, not IE though. I just happen to like Firefox, so it looks daft- like I have visited empty pages all day. Oh well!
So, folks, post away here. Talk about politics, what you like, what you don't like about this years election. Post about things to find interesting, or wish others to know. Create a group. If you like car racing, create a group page. Some day, others will join your group. And, this place is for writing. It's a blog - a multi-purpose blog at that. And it's a growing community. Imagine, Aidpage has over thirty thousand in it's community. We will have the same or greater one day. So, post away...
I can tell you- I watched history being made! And like it or not, Obama is the Dem candidate who will battle it out for president in the fall. I watched all the speeches, and thought it was particular...
